Fe/Mo-Based Lipid Peroxidation Nanoamplifier Combined with Adenosine Immunometabolism Regulation to Augment Anti-Breast Cancer Immunity.

Adv Mater

Immunogenic cell death (ICD)-mediated immunization strategies have great potential against breast cancer. However, traditional strategies neglect the increase in the immunosuppressive metabolite, adenosine (ADO), during ICD, leading to insufficient therapeutic outcomes. In this study, it is found that the adenosine A2A receptor (A2AR) is significantly expressed in breast cancer and positively associated with regulatory T (Treg) cells.

Efficient stabilizing effect of low-dose zein/xanthan gum nanoparticles at the oil-water interface.

Int J Biol Macromol

January 2025

Department of Nutrition and Health, China Agricultural University, Beijing 100193, China. Electronic address:

The inherent propensity for aggregation necessitates the use of high concentrations of protein-polysaccharide nanoparticles to achieve stable Pickering emulsions. This study employed xanthan gum (XG) to mitigate the pronounced aggregation of zein nanoparticles by structure construction, thereby enhancing the emulsifying efficiency of zein/XG (Z/XG) nanoparticles. The Z/XG nanoparticles displayed significantly enhanced dispersity, with the absolute ζ-potential increasing from 6.

Electronic address:

BOLD response can be fitted using the population receptive field (PRF) model to reveal how visual input is represented on the cortex (Dumoulin and Wandell, 2008). Fitting the PRF model costs considerable time, often requiring days to analyze BOLD signals for a small cohort of subjects. We introduce the qPRF ("quick PRF"), a system for accelerated PRF modeling that reduced the computation time by a factor ¿1,000 without losing goodness-of-fit when compared to another widely available PRF modeling package (Kay et al.

Sprayable hydrogels have emerged as a transformative innovation in biomedical technology, offering a versatile, efficient, and minimally invasive platform for various clinical applications. They form gels upon tissue contact, enabling seamless application on even complex surfaces. This property is especially useful in wound care, drug delivery, and tissue engineering, where localized and sustained release of therapeutics is essential.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common pediatric psychiatric disorders and is frequently diagnosed and treated by pediatricians. Stimulant medications are the first-line treatment for ADHD but may not be a good fit for many patients due to side effects, inadequate treatment response, or family preference. Non-stimulant ADHD medications provide a useful alternative for patients that cannot tolerate stimulants, have an incomplete treatment response to stimulants, are at risk for stimulant diversion, or whose family prefers to avoid stimulants.
