Meningioma of the internal auditory canal is very rare. There are only 15 previous reports of intracanalicular meningioma. The authors add a case report of a patient with meningioma of the internal auditory canal. A 31-year-old woman presented with a one-year history of headache, dizziness, hearing loss and left facial paralysis. An MRI of the temporal bone demonstrated a tiny isointense intracanalicular tumor with inhomogeneous enhancement. In the operative field carried out by translabyrinthine approach, the tumor was found in the IAC without intracranial involvement. Pathology revealed a meningioma. The patient was followed up for 2 years without recurrence.

Background: Meningioma, the most common primary brain tumor, presents significant challenges in MRI-based diagnosis and treatment planning due to its diverse manifestations. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have shown promise in improving the accuracy and efficiency of meningioma segmentation from MRI scans. This systematic review and meta-analysis assess the effectiveness of CNN models in segmenting meningioma using MRI.

Background And Objectives: The middle fossa approaches are tremendously versatile for treating small vestibular schwannomas, selected petroclival meningiomas, midbasilar trunk aneurysms, and lesions of the petrous bone. Our aim was to localize the internal acoustic canal and safely drill the petrous apex with these approaches. This study demonstrates a new method to locate the internal acoustic canal during surgery in the middle fossa.

Background And Purpose: Atypical meningiomas are prevalent intracranial tumors with varied prognoses and recurrence rates. The role of adjuvant radiotherapy (ART) in atypical meningiomas remains debated. This study aimed to develop and validate a prognostic model incorporating machine learning techniques and clinical factors to predict progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with atypical meningiomas and assess the impact of ART.

Background: Territorial arterial spin labelling (t-ASL) could be an alternative method to digital subtraction angiography (DSA) when evaluating feeding arteries by previous reports, however, blood supply variations on meningioma prognosis remains unclear. In this study, the prognosis of meningiomas mainly supplied by the internal carotid artery (ICA) and external carotid artery (ECA) was compared, and relevant clinical factors were investigated.
Methods: t-ASL technique was employed to categorized pathologically-confirmed meningioma patients into the ICA, ECA, ICA co-supplied, and non-ICA co-supplied group.

Case Summary: A 13-year-old castrated male American Shorthair cat was referred for evaluation following a 3-week history of poor balance and decreased activity. The MRI findings revealed a well-defined left caudal cerebellar mass with a diameter of 1.2 cm, consistent with a meningioma.
