Piperine, a trans-trans isomer of 1-piperoyl-piperidine, in combination with ciprofloxacin markedly reduced the MICs and mutation prevention concentration of ciprofloxacin for Staphylococcus aureus, including methicillin-resistant S. aureus. The enhanced accumulation and decreased efflux of ethidium bromide in the wild-type and mutant (CIPr-1) strains in the presence of piperine suggest its involvement in the inhibition of bacterial efflux pumps.

Introduction: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) remains a significant health challenge globally and nations have the responsibility to maintain a constant surveillance of AMR, particularly for the emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) isolates to existing antibiotics. Against this backdrop, we applied the WHO's AWaRe (ACCESS, WATCH, and RESERVE) antibiotics classification and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)'s multidrug resistance definition for AMR isolates from clinical specimens.
Method: This study reviewed bacterial culture and antibiotic sensitivity test outcomes.

Introduction: is a formidable pathogen that poses a significant threat to immunocompromised and might cause rare atypical forms of the disease especially complicated with coinfection.
Case: We present a case of a patient with meningoencephalitis, endocarditis, sepsis, and osteomyelitis, highlighting the complexities of managing disseminated polymicrobial infection. A 64-year-old female with multiple myeloma treated with chemotherapy presented with fever, altered mental status, nausea, and diarrhea to the emergency department.

Subclinical mastitis (SCM), a silent threat in the dairy sector of Bangladesh poses a significant economic impact and serves as a potential source of infection for healthy cows, hindering efforts to achieve milk self-sufficiency. Despite the importance of this issue, limited research has been conducted on mastitis in Sylhet region of Bangladesh. This study aimed to investigate the molecular prevalence, antimicrobial susceptibility profile and resistant genes detection on pathogens ( and causing SCM.

In this study designed to isolate lactic acid bacteria (LAB) with bacteriocin production potential, white cheese samples were collected from different provinces of Turkey and isolation was carried out. A series of experiments were carried out for the main purpose and the actual bacteriocin producers were identified by detecting the genes encoding this bacteriocin. The experiments carried out in this direction were initially carried out with 20 isolates and as a result of various experiments, the number of isolates was reduced to 8 and the study was continued with 8 isolates.

Biofilm formation, extracellular substance synthesis, and virulence factor production all have a major impact on drug tolerance and infection propagation caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Flavonoid compounds have been explored as potential solutions to enhance antibiotic efficacy against the biofilm formation of pathogenic microbes. Quercetin (QER) has previously demonstrated antibacterial and antibiofilm properties.
