We present a quick and easy method for the calibration of a matrix of sensors. The algorithm is based on a three-step irradiation procedure which relies only on the constancy of the delivered fluence at each step. With this method the gain of each sensor is derived relative to a reference detector. The algorithm has been applied to a matrix of (32 x 32) ionization chambers. After the calibration coefficients have been applied, by comparing the response of the matrix of chambers to a reference detector over a large field, we determined that the fluence measurement of individual chambers is better than 0.7%. The algorithm solves the cumbersome problem of the relative gain calibration of a matrix of a large number of sensors.

This article deals with the observer-based control problem of networked periodic piecewise systems under encoding-decoding frameworks. An encoder with a uniform quantizer, which can compress and encrypt data, is provided to process the measurements from the sensors. The processed data is transmitted over the network to the decoder to recover the original data and then to the remote control station, thereby reducing the communication burden and ensuring data security.

The current work presents a distributed estimation approach with a topology-switching structure and introduces an adaptive self-triggered strategy (ASTS) to minimize energy consumption during inter-node communication. In the filter design, the network's communication topology is modeled as a time-varying process, with switching governed by a homogeneous Markov chain and a probabilistic transition matrix containing partially unknown data. Filter design feasibility is verified using Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) method, which are used to determine the filter parameters.

Since most conductive polymers are -type, developing high-performance -type organic-inorganic composite thermoelectric (TE) fibers is a great challenge. Herein, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)-coated AgTe nanowires (PC-AgTe NWs) were prepared by a liquid-phase reaction using PEDOT:PSS-coated Te nanowires (PC-Te NWs) as templates, and the PEDOT:PSS/PC-AgTe NWs composite fibers were then prepared by wet spinning. As the content of PC-AgTe NWs increases, the composite fiber changes from -type to -type.

2,4,6-Trinitrophenol (TNP) is explosive, toxic, ecological, and a human health hazard and is resistant to degradation. It can cause symptoms such as headache, loss of appetite, dizziness, fever, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting when inhaled. In this study, we aimed to develop a new halloysite nanotube anchored with pyrene moieties () for the sensitive determination of TNP in soil, wastewater, and food samples using fully aqueous media.

The integration of visualization and electrical feedback in biomimetic electronic skin (E-skin) for real-time motion tracking has attracted significant attention in wearable electronics. To facilitate human-readable interactive feedback and improve the overall performance of E-skin, particularly regarding mechanical compliance, sensitivity, and stability, we propose a novel high-performance photonic-ionic skin (PI-skin) based on mechanochromic photonic ionogel. The PI-skin, prepared by incorporating aligned magnetic colloids into an ionogel matrix, integrates interactive structural coloration and electrical responses to external stimuli, achieving dual-mode precise motion recognition.
