Background: Despite surgical and endovascular technical improvements over the last decades, the treatment of complex aneurysms of the distal anterior cerebral artery (ACA) is very challenging for both vascular neurosurgeons and interventional neuroradiologists. Furthermore, the interpersonal anatomic variability requires, most of the time, a tailored planning.
Objective: To describe a novel technique of bypasses in the territory of ACA to protect the brain territory distal to the aneurysm.

Introduction: The use of multiple small flaps linked in a "chain-linked" flap microanastomosed chimeric system is recommended in distal hand and digital defects reconstruction. The aim of this study is to demonstrates our experience utilizing microsurgical fabrication, multi-lobed and linking combined flaps for the reconstruction of hand degloving injuries with complex multidigit soft tissue defects.
Methods: Microanastomosed chimeric flap systems using ALT and DPA modified designed flaps were combined in five selections to cover extensive soft tissue defects involving the hands and multiple digits of 39 patients (M:F - 36:3) from October 2009 to February 2013.

Aim: Fibrin glue becomes a more and more routinely used tool for stabilization of microanastomoses and nerve repair. This paper summarizes the technical properties and advantages of its use in a wide variety of microsurgical contexts, and includes an exemplary limb reconstructive case.
Patients And Methods: A total of 131 patients who had undergone elective and emergency microsurgery mainly of the limbs were retrospectively analyzed, as was the use of free flaps.

The use of silicone products combined with free flap transfer is well established in reconstructive surgery. We determined the risk of thrombosis as a result of direct contact between the silicone sheet and the point of microanastomosis. We performed microvascular surgery in 24 female Chinchilla Bastard rabbits weighing 3500 to 4000 g using two groups: Group 1 (n = 12), microanastomosis directly in contact with silicone sheets; and Group 2 (n = 12), microanastomosis protected by a 2 x 3 x 1-cm muscle cuff before being placed in contact with the silicone.
