Gamma rays from heavy neutralino dark matter.

Published: December 2005

We consider the gamma-ray spectrum from neutralino dark matter annihilations and show that internal bremsstrahlung of pair final states gives a previously neglected source of photons at energies near the mass of the neutralino. For masses larger than about 1 TeV, and for present day detector resolutions, this results in a characteristic signal that may dominate not only over the continuous spectrum from W fragmentation, but also over the gammagamma and gammaZ line signals which are known to give large rates for heavy neutralinos. Observational prospects thus seem promising.

A new dark sector antibaryon, denoted ψ_{D}, could be produced in decays of B mesons. This Letter presents a search for B^{+}→ψ_{D}+p (and the charge conjugate) decays in e^{+}e^{-} annihilations at 10.58 GeV, using data collected in the BABAR experiment.

We explore the parameter space of the phenomenological minimal supersymmetric standard model with a light neutralino thermal dark matter (m_{χ[over ˜]_{1}^{0}}≤m_{h}/2) that is consistent with current collider and astrophysical constraints. We consider both positive and negative values of the higgsino mass parameter (μ). Our investigation shows that the recent experimental results from the LHC as well as from direct detection searches for dark matter by the LUX-ZEPLIN Collaboration rule out the Z-funnel region for the μ>0 scenario.

A combination of searches for top squark pair production using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 13 at the CERN LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 collected by the CMS experiment, is presented. Signatures with at least 2 jets and large missing transverse momentum are categorized into events with 0, 1, or 2 leptons. New results for regions of parameter space where the kinematical properties of top squark pair production and top quark pair production are very similar are presented.

A common origin of muon g-2 anomaly, Galaxy Center GeV excess and AMS-02 anti-proton excess in the NMSSM.

The supersymmetric model is one of the most attractive extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. In light of the most recently reported anomaly of the muon g-2 measurement by the FermiLab E989 experiment, and the excesses of gamma rays at the Galactic center observed by Fermi-LAT space telescope, as well as the antiproton excess observed by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer, we propose to account for all these anomalies or excesses in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). Considering various experimental constraints including the Higgs mass, B-physics, collider data, dark matter relic density and direct detections, we find that a ~60 GeV bino-like neutralino is able to successfully explain all these observations.

Reinterpreting the results of the LHC with MadAnalysis 5: uncertainties and higher-luminosity estimates.

The MadAnalysis 5 framework can be used to assess the potential of various LHC analyses for unraveling any specific new physics signal. We present an extension of the LHC reinterpretation capabilities of the programme allowing for the inclusion of theoretical and systematical uncertainties on the signal in the reinterpretation procedure. We have implemented extra methods dedicated to the extrapolation of the impact of a given analysis to higher luminosities, including various options for the treatment of the errors.
