Reversible random sequential adsorption of objects of various shapes on a two-dimensional triangular lattice is studied numerically by means of Monte Carlo simulations. The growth of the coverage rho(t) above the jamming limit to its steady-state value rho(infinity) is described by a pattern rho(t) = rho(infinity - deltarhoE(beta)[-(t/tau)beta], where E(beta) denotes the Mittag-Leffler function of order beta element of (0, 1). The parameter tau is found to decay with the desorption probability P_ according to a power law tau = AP_(-gamma). The exponent gamma is the same for all shapes, gamma = 1.29 +/- 0.01, but the parameter A depends only on the order of symmetry axis of the shape. Finally, we present the possible relevance of the model to the compaction of granular objects of various shapes.

Objectives: Childhood obesity is thought to influence pubertal development, according to observational studies. However, the exact causal relationship remains unclear due to the complexity of factors affecting pubertal development.
Methods: To explore the association between exposure (childhood obesity) and outcome (delayed puberty, height), we utilized various methods, including inverse-variance weighted (IVW), weighted median, weighted mode, and MR Egger regression.
Unlabelled: Early phase dose-finding (EPDF) trials are key in the development of novel therapies, with their findings directly informing subsequent clinical development phases and providing valuable insights for reverse translation. Comprehensive and transparent reporting of these studies is critical for their accurate and critical interpretation, which may improve and expedite therapeutic development. However, quality of reporting of design characteristics and results from EPDF trials is often variable and incomplete.

Dissipative environments are ubiquitous in nature, from microscopic swimmers in low-Reynolds-number fluids to macroscopic animals in frictional media. In this study, we consider a mathematical model of a slender elastic locomotor with an internal rhythmic neural pattern generator to examine various undulatory locomotion such as swimming and crawling behaviours. By using local mechanical load as mechanosensory feedback, we have found that undulatory locomotion robustly emerges in different rheological media.
