With the ultimate goal of systematically identifying and characterizing proteins within an organism, the field of proteomics has generated much excitement in the past few years. Coupled with mass spectrometry, various quantitative and functional techniques are now available that allow for large-scale analyses of proteins implicated in cancer. New techniques are just now being applied to identifying the temporal changes in protein levels associated with tumor development. This review will focus on the use and promise of proteomic technologies as they apply to the study of tumor progression and metastasis.

Introduction: Aneurysmal bone cysts are locally aggressive bone lesions. The aim of this study was to evaluate safety and effectiveness of radio-opaque gelified ethanol sclerotherapy in treating primary aneurysmal bone cyst.
Materials And Methods: In this single-center, retrospective study (January 1st, 2012, to June 30th, 2024), 32 patients with primary aneurysmal bone cysts were treated with percutaneous sclerotherapy using radio-opaque gelified ethanol at various skeletal sites.

The relationship between nanoliposomal irinotecan/fluorouracil/leucovorin (NFF) treatment outcomes and neutropenia in patients with pancreatic cancer has not been thoroughly examined. Thus, we conducted a retrospective analysis of data from patients with pancreatic cancer who were treated with NFF to investigate this relationship. Neutropenia was assessed according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events across three cutoffs: A (grade 0 versus grade 1-4), B (grades 0-1 versus 2-4), and C (grades 0-2 versus 3-4).

Advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) poses treatment challenges, especially where access to multi-kinase inhibitors and ICIs is limited by high costs and lack of insurance. This study evaluates the effectiveness of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) plus platinum-based chemotherapy as an alternative systemic treatment for advanced HCC. A retrospective analysis of advanced HCC patients treated with 5-FU plus platinum-based chemotherapy was conducted.

Tumor-derived exosomes (TDEs) mediate oncogenic communication, which modifies target cells to reinforce a tumor-promoting microenvironment. TDEs support cancer progression by suppressing anti-tumor immune responses, promoting metastasis, and conferring drug resistance. Thus, targeting TDEs could improve the efficacy of anti-cancer treatments and control metastasis.
