Mutations in Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) signaling pathway genes, for example, (SUFU), drive granule neuron precursors (GNP) to form medulloblastomas (MB). However, how different molecular lesions in the Shh pathway drive transformation is frequently unclear, and mutations in the cerebellum seem distinct. In this study, we show that fibroblast growth factor 5 (FGF5) signaling is integral for many infantile MB cases and that expression is uniquely upregulated in infantile MB tumors.

Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer. Distinct and unusual metabolic aberrations occur during tumor development that lead to the growth and development of tumors. Oncogenic signaling pathways eventually converge to regulate three major metabolic pathways in tumor cells i.

Breast cancer (BrCa) is a complex and heterogeneous disease with diverse molecular subtypes, leading to varied clinical outcomes and posing significant treatment challenges. The increasing global burden of BrCa, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, underscores the urgent need for more effective therapeutic strategies. The androgen receptor (AR), expressed in a substantial proportion of breast cancer cases, has emerged as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are crucial regulatory molecules that participate in numerous cellular development processes, and they have gathered much interest recently. HOXA10 antisense RNA (HOXA10-AS, also known as HOXA-AS4) is a novel lncRNA that was identified to be dysregulated in some prevalent malignancies. In this review, the clinical significance of HOXA10-AS for the prognosis of various cancers is analyzed.

Confocal Raman microscopy, a highly specific and label-free technique for the microscale study of thick samples, often presents difficulties due to weak Raman signals. Inhomogeneous samples introduce wavefront aberrations that further reduce these signals, requiring even longer acquisition times. In this study, we introduce Adaptive Optics to confocal Raman microscopy for the first time to counteract such aberrations, significantly increasing the Raman signal and image quality.
