Intestinal polyps have been described in association with chronic schistosomiasis, and must be differentiated from malignant tumors and appropriately managed. This uncommon condition may be very rarely detected in people from non-endemic areas of this zoonosis, who were occasionally infected during some travel period. The lesions are more frequently described in men, and predominating in the colon.

Background And Objective: Changweiqing (CWQ) is a Chinese herbal formula for the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract diseases, but its role in the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC) has not been clarified. This study aimed to explore the molecular mechanism of CWQ in CRC treatment through bioinformatics analysis and network pharmacology.
Methods: Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform and SwissTargetPrediction database were used to collect the bioactive components of CWQ.

Background: Heterotaxy syndrome is a rare congenital condition characterized by abnormal arrangement of thoracoabdominal organs, often associated with complex cardiac and splenic anomalies. Pheochromocytoma is a rare neuroendocrine tumor that overproduces catecholamines, leading to various complications. The co-occurrence of heterotaxy syndrome and pheochromocytoma has not been previously reported.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 4,632 consecutive colorectal ESD cases from 13 institutions between January 2006 and May 2024.

Purpose: To evaluate the histopathological characteristics of bladder cancer in patients presenting to Johannesburg hospitals over a 13-year period (2010-2023).
Methods: Following ethical clearance, a retrospective observational, descriptive review of histopathological reports over 13 years was conducted in Johannesburg. Inclusion criteria was bladder biopsies, TURBT specimens, and radical cystectomy (RC) specimens positive for bladder cancer.
