Ovarian cancer patients with BRCA1 mutation have more susceptibility for secondary breast cancer. In females with BRCA1 mutation, the risk of developing breast carcinoma is 65% and of ovarian cancer is 39%, before 70 years of age. This is a case report of a 74 year old, post-menopausal woman diagnosed with metastatic retroperitoneal lymph node, high-grade papillary adenocarcinoma primary ovary stage IIIA in April 2004 at the age of 48 years.

Mastectomy is the standard treatment for mammary gland tumors in dogs. In addition to traditional therapy, sodium dichloroacetate (DCA) can act as target therapy, as it may promote autophagy, reduce metastatic potential, and tumor proliferation in mammary tumor cell lines. This study aimed to analyze the effects of DCA as preoperative therapy for mammary tumors in bitches.

Peritoneal metastases from breast cancer (PMBC) tend to occur late in the disease course and are challenging to manage. Cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS/HIPEC) provide peritoneal disease control in other malignancies and may achieve similar results in PMBC. We assessed intraperitoneal disease control and outcomes in two PMBC patients after CRS/HIPEC.

A 54-year-old woman with pseudomyxoma peritonei from an appendiceal signet ring cell carcinoma was referred to our hospital. Right massive effusion with cytology-proven malignant cells was controlled with thoracentesis. Pathological study after intraperitoneal (IP) chemotherapy, hyperthermic IP chemotherapy, and cytoreductive surgery showed no malignant cells in the abdomen except for the appendix and greater omentum.

Extrauterine endometrial stromal sarcomas (EUESSs) are rare tumours occurring without primary uterine involvement. They are classified as primary or secondary, depending on uterine involvement by stromal sarcomas. A 56-year-old woman who earlier underwent bilateral modified radical mastectomy for adenocarcinoma and total abdominal hysterectomy for endometrial stromal sarcoma, followed by tamoxifen therapy, presented with left loin pain.
