Selenium disulfide (often referred to as SeS) encompasses a family of mixed selenium-sulfide eight-membered rings, traditionally used as an anti-dandruff agent in shampoos. SeS can be produced by reacting hydrogen sulfide (HS) with selenite (SeO) under acidic conditions. This chemistry is also possible with natural spring waters that are rich in HS, thus providing an avenue for the more sustainable, green production of high-quality SeS particles from an abundant natural source.

1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester (DINCH) is a non-phthalate plasticizer used as a replacement of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) in daily usage items. It is not known whether continuous exposure to low doses of DINCH can lead to hepatic alterations, the liver being the organ responsible for its metabolism. The aim of this study was to evaluate the activation of inflammatory and apoptotic pathways in the liver of lactating dams after DINCH exposure, and whether these effects may be observed on postnatal day 6 (PND6) offspring.

- The CEO NEs demonstrated impressive stability, with a droplet size of about 170 nm and effective antimicrobial properties against harmful bacteria and fungi, showcasing significantly lower concentrations needed to inhibit these pathogens compared to pure CEO.
- Soaking strawberries in CEO NEs for just 2 minutes extended their freshness to 7 days, while control groups showed quicker spoilage and mold growth, indicating the potential of CEO NEs as an innovative solution for fruit preservation.

The first medical specification was found in a letter from 1541 by Johann Echt to colleges in the area of Lower Germany, which was published four times.
