[reaction: see text] Three organoboron compounds are shown to be two-photon fluorescent sensors for fluoride anion with high sensitivity and selectivity. The recognition mechanism is attributed to the unique steric structure of the bulky dimesitylboryl group and the Lewis acid-base interaction between trivalent boron atom and fluoride anion.

The aim of this study was to decipher the reprogramming of protective machineries and sulfur metabolism, as responses to time-dependent effect of fluoride stress for 10 and 20days in two indica rice (Oryza sativa ) varieties. Unregulated accumulation of fluoride via chloride channels (CLC1 and CLC2) in 10-day-old (cv. Khitish) and 20-day-old (cv.

A cationic N-heterocyclic phosphenium (NHP) iron tetracarbonyl complex was synthesised from the free cation and its behaviour towards various anionic reactants studied. Reactions with fluoride, chloride, and hydride sources proceeded under attachment of the anion at phosphorus to yield Fe(CO)-complexes of neutral diazaphospholenes, while bromide and iodide reacted under addition of the anion at the metal and decarbonylation to yield NHP iron halides. Reactions with amides and organometallics were unselective.

Fluoride and nitrogen contamination is a global concern and has been a serious problem in agricultural areas. This study aims to identify the source of fluoride and nitrogen in the groundwater and assess groundwater quality and human health risks in the Guanzhong Plain, northwest China. The results showed that the concentrations were 0.

The nonheme iron(II) complexes containing a fluoride anion, Fe(BNPAO)(F) () and [Fe(BNPAOH)(F)(THF)](BF) (), were synthesized and structurally characterized. Addition of dioxygen to either or led to the formation of a fluoride-bridged, dinuclear iron(III) complex [Fe(BNPAO)(F)(μ-F)] (), which was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, H NMR, and elemental analysis. An iron(II)(iodide) complex, Fe(BNPAO)(I) (), was prepared and reacted with O to give the mononuclear complex -Fe(BNPAO)(OH)(I) ().
