Purpose: In heart failure (HF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) populations, sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) is associated with impaired health outcomes. We evaluated whether in patients with HF, concomitant HF and COPD or COPD, the number of hospitalizations would be reduced in the year after testing for SDB with and without treatment initiation compared to the year before.
Methods: We performed a multicentre retrospective study of 390 consecutive sleep-clinic patients who had a primary diagnosis of chronic HF, HF and COPD or COPD and a secondary diagnosis of SDB.
RECQL4 affects MHC class II-mediated signalling and favours an immune-evasive signature that limits response to immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy in patients with malignant melanoma.

The tubular-derived glycoprotein, Dickkopf-related protein 3 (DKK3) is a promising biomarker for kidney fibrosis and prediction of kidney function decline. Here, we measured urinary DKK3 (uDKK3) levels in 195 pediatric patients with renal ciliopathy to assess its potential as a discriminative and prediction marker.

Introduction/objectives: The study aimed to determine whether in children with newly diagnosed juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) differs from healthy children and to see whether the revaccination is safe and effective under JIA treatment.
Methods: Patients who were followed up with a diagnosis of JIA between January 2020 and February 2024 were included. The control group consisted of healthy children matched for age and gender.
