We herein investigated the influence of temperature on the embryonic development (from fertilisation to hatching) of larvae. For this purpose, oocytes (>600 μm) and sperm were obtained from breeding stock at the laboratory of marine fish culture (LAPMAR). After fertilisation, 1200 eggs were distributed in 12 cylindrical experimental units of 400 mL under four different temperatures 18, 22, 26 and 30 ºC, all in triplicate.

In the face of rising population, erratic climate, resource depletion, and increased exposure to natural hazards, environmental monitoring is increasingly important. Satellite data form most of our observations of Earth. On-the-ground observations based on in situ sensor systems are crucial for these remote measurements to be dependable.

Due to high environmental temperatures and climate change, heat stress is a severe concern for poultry health and production, increasing the propensity for food insecurity. With climate change causing higher temperatures and erratic weather patterns in recent years, poultry are increasingly vulnerable to this environmental stressor. To mitigate heat stress, nutritional, genetic, and managerial strategies have been implemented with some success.
