A 13-year-old boy was referred to the authors' hospital following a right inguinal orchiectomy for a right scrotal mass. Histopathological examination revealed Burkitt lymphoma. The left testis was found to be small with heterogeneous parenchyma by scrotal ultrasound (US) and other systemic investigations were negative for lymphoma involvement. Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy showed no evidence of involvement in the left testis. Considering stage I Burkitt lymphoma, chemotherapy was started. Following the first course, US findings changed: the volume of the left testis decreased and the parenchyma became homogeneous. The left testis was considered to be involved by lymphoma at initial diagnosis and chemotherapy was intensified. At the end of 5 months of chemotherapy the left testis was again heterogeneous in US. A wedge-biopsy was negative for lymphoma. The patient is under regular follow-up and is in complete remission 19 months after the end of chemotherapy. Primary testicular lymphoma is quite rare in children and experience is limited. Changes in testicular size and parenchyma by US should not necessarily indicate involvement by lymphoma in pubertal boys.

Background: Testicular torsion is a critical urological emergency that can lead to testicular ischemia and significant tissue damage. Citrulline, a supplement known for enhancing cellular metabolism and mitigating oxidative stress and inflammation, has been explored for its protective effects against testicular injury resulting from torsion and detorsion in rat models.
Methods: This study involved 42 Wistar rats, divided into six groups: Sham, torsion/detorsion (T/D), and four groups receiving varying doses of Citrulline (300, 600, 900 ) and vitamin E (20 ).

Sertoli cell (SC) tumors of the testis are relatively rare, accounting for only a small fraction of testicular tumors.

Background: Griscelli syndrome (GS) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by oculocutaneous albinism and variable immune dysfunction. Among three distinct types of GS, occurring due to different genetic mutations; GS type 1 presents with neurological manifestations, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) generally develops in GS type 2, and GS type 3 primarily exhibits oculocutaneous albinism. HLH, a life-threatening condition with excessive immune activation, may occur secondary to various triggers, including infections, and develop in different tissues, as well as in the testis, similar to Erdheim-Chester disease.

Xanthogranulomatous inflammation (XGI) is a rare, benign inflammatory condition of unclear pathogenesis, characterised by infiltration and subsequent destruction of normal tissue by lipid-laden macrophages together with lymphocytes and plasma cells. A 56-year-old gentleman was referred to the urology department of our hospital due to concerns that his right testicle felt firmer than his left over the preceding six months. He was investigated and subsequently underwent a right sided orchidectomy.
