Complexation of nicotine (NCT) and magnesium aluminum silicate (MAS) has been formed in the dispersions that required multiple preparation steps. In this study, physical blending was used to produce NCT-MAS complexes. NCT, a free-base liquid state form, was adsorbed onto the MAS granules, where the diffusion and intercalation of NCT molecules into the MAS silicate layers occurred.

Taking low cost silicate minerals to develop efficient Cd adsorption materials was favorable to the comprehensive utilization of minerals and remediation of environmental pollution. In this study, a composite of silicon supported nano iron/aluminum/magnesium (hydr)oxides was prepared with biotite by combining acid leaching and base precipitation process, which was used to remove Cd. Cd adsorption behaviors were in accordance of pseudo-second order kinetic model and Langmuir model, and the obtained maximal Cd adsorption capacity was 78.

Background: Studying complexation between a wide variety of drugs and clay is of high importance in expanding the knowledge about controlled drug delivery and its exploitation. This study reports the use of isothermal calorimetry (ITC) in understanding the complexation process occurring between magnesium aluminium silicate (MAS) and metformin hydrochloride (MET), as a potentially controlled release drug delivery system.
Objectives: To fully characterise and understand the complexes formed between MAS and MET and how that might impact on controlled release systems.

Wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) of aluminum-magnesium (Al-Mg) ER5356 alloy deposits is accomplished by cold metal transfer (CMT). During the process, the temperature change of the alloy deposits has a great influence on molding quality, and the microstructure and properties of alloy deposits are also affected by the complex thermal history of the additive manufacturing process. Here, we used an inter-layer cooling process and controlled the heat input process to attempt to reduce the influence of thermal history on alloy deposits during the additive process.

In this report, the site-specific co-delivery of green tea/aluminium magnesium silicate (AMS) was reported and the specific target delivery was achieved orally. The new co-precipitation process was developed to synthesis the green tea/AMS hybrid complex and using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman confirmed its successful synthesis. The blood biocompatibility of the green tea/AMS was tested using chicken blood, and the compound is safe up to 500 mg/ml.
