Introduction And Objectives: Percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) is a viable option to mitigate bleeding and stroke risks in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who are not eligible for oral anticoagulation. Its safety and efficacy in cancer patients remain unclear due to their exclusion from trials. This study aimed to compare short- and long-term LAAO outcomes between cancer and non-cancer patients.

Artificial vascular grafts, as blood vessel substitutes, are a prime challenge in tissue engineering and biomaterial research. An ideal artificial graft must have physiological and mechanical properties similar to those of a natural blood vessel, and hemocompatibility on its surface. We designed and fabricated artificial grafts by applying 3D printing and templated technology, which is endowed with morphologically patient-specific vascular reconstruction.

Background: The effect of anticoagulation on early postoperative outcomes following pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) with bioprosthetic valves and homografts is not yet defined. We hypothesized that short-term anticoagulation would be associated with improved valve durability.
Methods: Patients undergoing PVR or right ventricle-pulmonary artery conduits with a bioprosthetic or homograft valve >15 mm in diameter between 1/2015 and 4/2021 at Boston Children's Hospital were retrospectively compared by anticoagulation status.

Background: Implantable cardiac monitors (ICMs) provide valuable insights into managing atrial fibrillation (AF). Data suggest that ICMs increase AF detection, but their impact on management is still uncertain.
Objectives: To evaluate and compare the impact of ICMs on the clinical management of AF.

Background And Objectives: The optimal management of high-risk and intermediate-high-risk Pulmonary Embolism (PE) is a matter of ongoing debate. This paper aims to assess the short and long-term clinical outcomes associated with different treatment approaches for high-risk and intermediate-high-risk PE within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and identify potential areas for improvement.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of patients admitted to an ICU with high and intermediate-high-risk PE between January 2018 and December 2023.
