A compact, inexpensive and easy-to-construct two-dimensional in situ beam-position and profile monitor for synchrotron X-ray beamlines is presented. The device is based on the collection of spatially resolved scattered radiation from a polyimide foil. The X-ray beam passes through a foil placed in the path of the beam, which absorbs no more than 3% of the beam at 12 keV. The scattered radiation is collected at an angle of 90 degrees through a collimator located below the foil onto a CCD sensor. The device was tested on bending-magnet beamline BM26 at the ESRF synchrotron radiation source and has a positional sensitivity better than 10 microm with a large working range of 25 mm x 25 mm. Although the device is optimized for use in the range 10-12 keV, it can easily be modified for use with higher-energy beams by using a suitably chosen scattering foil.

Floatable artificial leaf to couple oxygen-tolerant CO conversion with water purification.

To enable open environment application of artificial photosynthesis, the direct utilization of environmental CO via an oxygen-tolerant reductive procedure is necessary. Herein, we introduce an in situ growth strategy for fabricating two-dimensional heterojunctions between indium porphyrin metal-organic framework (In-MOF) and single-layer graphene oxide (GO). Upon illumination, the In-MOF/GO heterostructure facilitates a tandem CO capture and photocatalytic reduction on its hydroxylated In-node, prioritizing the reduction of dilute CO even in the presence of air-level O.

Aqueous zinc ion batteries exhibit great prospects due to their low cost and high safety, while their lifespan is limited by severe dendritic growth problems. Herein, we develop an anti-dendrite hot-pressing separator interlayer through a mass-producible hot-pressing strategy, by spreading metal-organic framework (MOF) precursor on nonwoven matrix followed by a simple hot-pressing process. The in situ modification of MOF crystals on fiber surface processes abundant nitrogenous functional groups and high specific surface area (190.

2D Flower-like CdS@Co/Mo-MOF as Co-Reaction Accelerator of g-CN-Based Electrochemiluminescence Sensor for Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride.

Biosensors (Basel)

Key Laboratory of Biorheological Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, College of Bioengineering, Chongqing University, No. 174, Shapingba Main Street, Chongqing 400030, China.

In this study, we have proposed an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) signal amplification system which is based on two-dimensional (2D) flower-like CdS@Co/Mo-MOF composites as a co-reaction accelerator of the g-CN/SO system for ultrasensitive detection of chlorpromazine hydrochloride (CPH). Specifically, the 2D flower-like Co/Mo-MOF with mesoporous alleviated the aggregation of CdS NPs while simultaneously fostering reactant-active site contact and improving the reactant-product transport rate. This allowed the material to act as a novel co-reaction accelerator, speeding up the transformation of the SO into SO and enhancing the cathodic ECL emission of g-CN.

As a novel carbon-based material with two-dimensional (2D) characteristics, graphdiyne (GDY) shows great potential in constructing active catalytic sites due to its distinctive atomic configuration and sp/sp conjugated hybrid two-dimensional networks. In this study, the layered GDY was synthesized using the ball milling method, and ZnCdS/Graphdiyne/NiO (ZnCdS/GDY/NiO) composite was synthesized by in-situ composite and physical mixing method. The prepared ZnCdS/GDY/NiO has good photostability outstanding performance in photocatalytic hydrogen production.

Competitive adsorption of arsenate and phosphate on hematite facets: Molecular insights for enhanced arsenic retention.

Understanding the competition for adsorption between arsenate and other common oxyanions at mineral-water interfaces is critical for enhancing arsenate retention in the subsurface environment and mitigating exposure risks. This study investigated the competitive adsorption between arsenate and phosphate on hematite facets using batch experiments, together with in-situ infrared spectroscopy, two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS), and ab initio molecular dynamic (AIMD) simulations. This study's findings revealed that hematite exhibited notable selectivity for arsenate over phosphate in both adsorption capacity and rate, with selectivity significantly influenced by the exposed facets of the hematite and reaction concentrations.
