Objective: To screen prothrombotic state-related cDNA sequences from human hepatic cDNA library.
Methods: The subtracted cDNA library for differentially expressed genes in rat liver of prothrombotic state (PTS) was constructed by suppression subtractive hybridization. Positive clones were identified by differential screening. The target DNA sequences of positive cDNA clones of differentially expressed genes from rat liver of PTS were amplified by PCR. The PCR products were used as probes to screen a human hepatic cDNA library. After the first, second and third screening, the transduction of a positive lambdaTripIEx lysate into E. coli strain BM25. 8 promoted the circularization of pTripIEx. The positive circularized plasmids were identified by double enzyme digestion. The cDNA fragments of the positive plasmids were sequenced and analyzed by bioinformatics (blastn).
Results: Four PTS-related cDNA sequences were identified from human hepatic cDNA library. For 3 of them, their products of expression were respectively fibrinogen, LFIRE1, and chromosome 10 open reading frame 104 mRNA. The fourth sequence had homology with carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase 1 gene.
Conclusion: Four PTS-related cDNA sequences have been identified from human hepatic cDNA library.

Background: Peritoneal metastasis (PM) after the rupture of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a critical issue that negatively affects patient prognosis. Machine learning models have shown great potential in predicting clinical outcomes; however, the optimal model for this specific problem remains unclear.
Methods: Clinical data were collected and analyzed from 522 patients with ruptured HCC who underwent surgery at 7 different medical centers.

Dynamic positron emission tomography (PET) can be used to non-invasively estimate the blood flow of different organs via compartmental modeling. Out of different PET tracers, water labeled with the radioactive O isotope of oxygen (half-life of 2.04 min) is freely diffusable, and therefore, very well-suited for blood flow quantification.

Luteolin is widely distributed phytochemical, a flavonoid, in kingdom plantae. Luteolin with potential antioxidant activity prevent ROS-induced damages and reduce oxidative stress which is mainly responsible in pathogenesis of many diseases. Several chemo preventive activities and therapeutic benefits are associated with luteolin.

Background There is ongoing debate regarding the impact of direct-acting antiviral drugs (DAAs) on the occurrence of de novo hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays a crucial role in the development and angiogenesis of HCC. Aim This study aims to evaluate dynamic changes in vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels at different point times during and after treatment of HCV to evaluate the risk of de novo HCC in DAAs-treated HCV patients.

Prostate cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers and poses a significant health burden. New androgen-targeted therapies are now standard treatments for various stages of prostate cancer, including hormone-sensitive, metastatic, and non-metastatic castration-resistant types. These therapies are generally well tolerated and often have fewer side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy.
