The microbiomes of host organisms and their direct source environments are closely linked and key for shaping microbial community dynamics. The relationship between these linked dynamics is largely unexplored because source substrates are usually unavailable. To address this current knowledge gap, we employed bacteriovorous nematodes as a unique model system, for which source substrates like rotting apples can be easily collected.

A switching active disturbance rejection control (SADRC) strategy was proposed to solve the composite disturbance challenge arising from gap, LuGre friction, hydraulic spring force, and external load disturbance in the double closed-loop digital hydraulic cylinder position control system. Firstly, leveraging the established mathematical model of the double closed-loop digital hydraulic cylinder, the high-order state equation was derived. Subsequently, the high-order double closed-loop digital hydraulic cylinder control system was transformed into a second-order integral series control system using ADRC strategy.

Olanzapine (OLZ) is widely used in the treatment of schizophrenia, and its metabolic side effects have garnered significant attention in recent years. Despite this, the specific side effects of OLZ and the underlying mechanisms remain inadequately understood. To address this gap, zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed to OLZ at concentrations of 35.

Seasonally inundated areas (SIA) within aquatic systems are characterized by elevated methylmercury (MeHg) production. Nevertheless, the response characteristics of dissolved organic matter (DOM) quality in SIA sediments, including its molecular compositions and structure, and their impacts on the MeHg production are not yet fully understood. This research gap has been addressed through field investigations and microcosm experiments conducted in a metal-polluted plateau wetland.

Background: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (hereafter referred to as First Nations) childbearing women report negative experiences from a lack of culturally safe maternity care. Evidence supports improved health outcomes for First Nations women and infants when cared for by First Nations midwives. There are barriers to First Nations students accessing university, particularly nursing and midwifery students, with a lack of evidence exploring the experiences of First Nations midwifery students.
