Unlabelled: A 6-y-old boy presented with generalized, bruise-like swelling of both legs. Three weeks later, he developed purpura fulminans in one of the affected feet. Histology of the leg swelling was in accordance with erythema nodosum. The boy proved to be homozygous for the Factor V Leiden mutation and to have acquired protein S deficiency. He recovered, with partial loss of two toes.
Conclusion: In contrast to what is often stated, erythema nodosum is not always a benign condition. On the basis of this report, we suggest that if extensive erythema nodosum develops in an individual without any known thrombophilic disorder, investigations with respect to the latter should be performed.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of a triple therapy consisting of colchicine, thalidomide and total glucosides of paeony (TGP) in Behcet's disease (BD) patients with mucocutaneous involvement.
Methods: Totally 355 newly diagnosed BD patients with mucocutaneous involvement were recruited, who received dexamethasone and colchicine for the first 2 weeks, then they were categorized into "sustained triple-therapy (ST)" (n = 231) and "colchicine to triple-therapy (CT)" (n = 124) groups respectively: for ST group, patients received colchicine, thalidomide plus TGP from Month (M)0.5 to M12; for CT group, patients received colchicine from M0.
Introduction: Only a few studies analysed the prognosis significance of erythema nodosum (EN) in sarcoidosis. Our objective was to analyze the prevalence of EN in sarcoidosis, its possible association of EN with extrathoracic sarcoidosis, and its prognostic significance.
Methods: Retrospective study including patients diagnosed with sarcoidosis at Bellvitge University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, between 1980 and 2017.

Behçet's disease is a clinical diagnosis with variable presentations. Liver involvement is rare in the absence of vascular complications. We describe a patient diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and autoimmune hepatitis on azathioprine who developed extensive aphthous ulcers approximately 10 years later.
