To perform an anatomically correct segmentectomy, this segmental plane needs to be divided. Introduction: There is a risk of iatrogenic vascular injuries during robotic-assisted laparoscopic excision of diaphragmatic endometriosis. Although studies are limited, the first reported case of a suprahepatic inferior vena cava (IVC) injury during robotic diaphragmatic endometriosis excision was successfully treated using a fibrin sealant patch, preventing exsanguination and conversion to laparotomy.
Case Description: A 36-year-old female with a history of recurrent catamenial pneumothorax and two prior video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries to treat diaphragmatic endometriosis presented to our clinic with right-sided shoulder pain and a chest tube in place.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks commonly occur due to trauma or surgical procedures. Here we review CSF leak diagnosis and management in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). A systematic review of the CSF leak management in LMICs was conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar, Embase and Web of Science databases according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines.

Background: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage frequently complicates endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal pituitary resections, despite the use of lumbar drains, nasoseptal flaps, or commercial dura sealants. Managing this complication often requires revision surgery and increases the risk of infection. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), an affordable autologous biomaterial derived from the patient's blood through short, angulated centrifugation, contains growth factors and leukocytes embedded in a fibrin matrix.

Objective: Patients receiving anticoagulation therapy develop intracerebral hematomas, which are difficult to evacuate during endoscopic surgery. Insufficient thrombin activation results in the gradual conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin, forming dense fibrin bands (FBs) that harden the hematoma. We aimed to investigate the factors contributing to hematoma hardness.
