The objective of this paper is to contrast the use of a longitudinal incision in surgical decompression of De Quervain disease with a transverse incision. The advantages are ease in recognition of compartment variations and superficial branches of radial nerve and prevention of palmar tendon subluxation by permitting a more dorsal release of the compartment sheath. Since 2002, we have used a longitudinal skin incision instead of the classic transverse incision to release the first dorsal compartment.

Objective: The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to assess and synthesize the global evidence on the level of nurses' knowledge and its determinants regarding the prevention of surgical site infections.
Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted following strict methodological guidelines to ensure accuracy and reliability. Adhering to the 2020 PRISMA checklist, a systematic review and meta-analysis sought to establish the pooled proportion of nurse's knowledge and its determinants regarding surgical site infection prevention globally.

Background: Pulmonary stenosis (PS) is common in congenital heart disease and an integral finding in Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Pulmonary regurgitation (PR) is more commonly found following surgery in repaired TOF. We aimed to evaluate the haemodynamic effects of PS and PR on cardiac physiology in a porcine model using cardiac magnetic resonance-based feature tracking (CMR-FT) deformation imaging.

In-channel sediment mining significantly disrupts reach-scale sediment connectivity and channel geometry, causing immediate and intense geomorphological responses. River systems perturbed by anthropogenic stress, like sand and gravel mining, tend to respond within a shorter timescale, making the study of feedback mechanisms important. 'Sensitive' rivers display dramatic change via a positive feedback mechanism, exacerbating the change in the system.

Objective: This study aimed to identify risk factors for peripartum hysterectomy among pregnancies complicated by suspected Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) in preoperative obstetric imaging screening.
Methods: Data were retrospectively extracted from the Longitudinal Placenta Accreta Spectrum Study (LoPASS), covering pregnancies with PAS from January 2018 to March 2023 at our institute. Patients were divided into Control and Hysterectomy groups based on whether they underwent hysterectomy.
