Sixty-five expert, experienced, and novice cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic psychotherapists provided "think aloud" case formulations in response to 6 standardized patient vignettes varying in disorder and prototypicality. The 390 formulations were reliably transcribed, segmented into idea units, content coded, and rated on multiple dimensions of quality. As hypothesized, the formulations of experts were more comprehensive, elaborated, complex, and systematic. Judges did not rate them as more coherent or precise in the use of language. In addition, the treatment plans of experts were more elaborated and linked better to the formulations. Effect sizes for overall ratings of quality ranged from medium to large. Few differences based on therapy orientation were observed. Results are discussed in terms of therapist training.

Objectives: Autoantibodies mimicking alloantibodies (referred to as mimicking antibodies) are a type of specific antibody that reacts with all red blood cells, but exhibits a stronger reaction with red blood cells expressing the target antigens. This study aimed to explore immunohematologic methods for identifying mimicking antibodies, autoantibodies and alloantibodies, and to formulate safe transfusion strategies based on the results.
Methods: ABO, Rh blood types and direct antiglobulin test were determined using the tube saline method.

Background: This is the first study to examine a cohort that engages in the practice of immunization with snake venoms. In this practice, either fresh wet venom or venom reconstituted from freeze-dried form is used in vaccination protocols to produce hyper-immunity to venom.
Methods: This is a retrospective community-initiated collaborative research (CICR) project that collated the records of venom immunization.

In addition to the usual evaluation approach (usually a clinical randomized trial in the sense of the question: does an intervention work), complex interventions require further systematic investigations to prove their effectiveness. The role of the context in which the intervention is delivered is essential here, as is consideration of the question of why an intervention works (or does not work). Detailed recommendations exist for the planning and implementation of effectiveness studies on complex interventions, to which interdisciplinary multimodal pain therapy undoubtedly belongs.

Introduction: Fluid thickeners used in the management of oropharyngeal dysphagia exhibit non-Newtonian shear-thinning rheology, impacting their viscosity during deglutition. This study investigated how the rheological properties of thickened fluids affect pharyngeal swallowing parameters in patients with oropharyngeal motor disorders diagnosed by pharyngeal high-resolution manometry impedance (P-HRM-I).
Methods: Seventy-two patients (18-89 years) referred for P-HRM-I were diagnostically assessed with a 10 mL thin bolus.
