Aims: To explore how Australian oncology nurses perceive and experience compassion fatigue when caring for adult cancer patients, how they mitigate compassion fatigue and identify potential interventions to address compassion fatigue.
Design: A qualitative, descriptive study.
Methods: Twenty Australian oncology nurses caring for adult cancer patients were interviewed between August and September 2023.

Introduction And Objective: The global shortage of nurses who want to work in the intensive care unit (ICU) is alarming, putting at risk quality of care and patient safety. With efforts put into engagement strategies, optimized recruitment programmes are scarce, specifically in the ICU setting. The aim of this study is to describe and explore ICU nurses' opinions on their work motivational factors that influenced the decision to work in the ICU setting.

Local Problem: A retention strategy for newly hired nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician associates (PAs) was needed at our organization.
Methods: A quality improvement project was conducted to determine whether a mentorship program could improve retention and employment experiences of newly hired NPs and PAs.

To address the issue, the Ministry of Health and UNICEF Indonesia initiated a hospital mentoring programme from 2014 to 2016 to improve the quality of care and health workers' capacity to provide neonatal care.
