Spinal cord injuries, including rare cases without radiological abnormalities, pose diagnostic challenges, particularly in cases of delayed neurological deficit development. This case report describes a 55-year-old man with a stable L1 burst fracture who developed delayed neurological deficits two weeks after sustaining a fall despite no evidence of intrinsic or extrinsic spinal cord abnormalities on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The patient initially presented with back pain, normal muscle strength across all myotomes, and imaging that showed no canal stenosis or retropulsion fragments.

Neobladder-vaginal fistula (NVF) is a rare complication after radical cystectomy with orthotopic neobladder, impacting patient quality of life. This case report describes successful transvaginal, multilayered closure of NVF in a 59-year-old woman with urinary incontinence post-surgery. Despite prior intraoperative repair, an 8mm fistula was detected and repaired transvaginally.

Objective: There is limited knowledge about severe urinary tract infections associated with SGLT2i, despite this being the basis for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warning. We aim to provide real-world evidence to clarify this relationship further.
Data Source: A literature review was performed in PubMed and Embase for cohort studies published up to August 2024 using PICO-consistent terms.

Objective: To compare maternal and surgical outcomes between patients with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) who underwent conservative management and those who underwent cesarean hysterectomy (CH).
Data Sources: We performed a systematic search in PubMed, Embase and Web of Science from inception up to June 2, 2024.
Study Eligibility Criteria: Studies comparing clinical outcomes among patients with PAS undergoing conservative management versus CH were included.

The growing sophistication of tumor molecular profiling has helped to slowly transition oncologic care toward a more personalized approach in different tumor types, including in bladder cancer. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network recommends that all patients with stage IVA and stage IVB urothelial carcinoma have molecular analysis that integrates at least testing to help facilitate the selection of future therapeutic options. Sequencing of tumor-derived tissue is the mainstay to obtain this genomic testing, but as in other cancers, there has been extensive research into the integration of liquid biopsies in longitudinal management.
