Treatment options for patients with relapsed or refractory (R/R) anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) have increased in the era of targeted therapies such as brentuximab vedotin (BV) and Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK) inhibitors. However, there is no standard treatment and limited published data evaluating their use. The goal of this retrospective study is to describe current real-world treatment and outcomes of pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients with R/R ALK-positive ALCL.

Which Brugada patient deserves continuous ECG monitoring through implantable loop recorder? An evidence update.

J Cardiovasc Med (Hagerstown)

February 2025

Division of Cardiology, Department of Pharmacy, Health and Nutritional Sciences, University of Calabria, Rende (CS).

Brugada syndrome (BrS) is a genetic condition that increases the risk of life-threatening arrhythmias, which can result in sudden cardiac death (SCD). Implantable loop recorders (ILRs) have become a key tool in managing patients with unexplained syncope, and guidelines advise their use in individuals with recurrent, unexplained syncope or palpitations. However, the role of ILRs in inherited arrhythmic conditions like BrS remains a topic of debate.

A comprehensive update on the and idiosyncratic adverse drug reactions.

Expert Opin Drug Metab Toxicol

January 2025

Departments of Paediatrics, and Physiology and Pharmacology, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University, London, Ontario, Canada.

Introduction: . Idiosyncratic adverse drug reactions (IADRs) or drug hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs) represent a major health problem because they are unpredictable and can be severe with potential life-long or even lethal consequences. Their pathophysiology is not clear but thought to be immune mediated supported by the significant statistical association of these reactions with specific alleles of the () gene.

Disassembly of Virus-Like Particles and the Stabilizing Role of the Nucleic Acid Cargo.

J Phys Chem B

January 2025

Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02138, United States.

In many simple viruses and virus-like particles, the protein capsid self-assembles around a nucleic-acid genome. Although the assembly process has been studied in detail, relatively little is known about how the capsid disassembles, a potentially important step for infection (in viruses) or cargo delivery (in virus-like particles). We investigate capsid disassembly using a coarse-grained molecular dynamics model of a = 1 dodecahedral capsid and an RNA-like polymer.
