Objective: To study the diagnosis and the therapy for bleeding polyp in paranasal sinus and nasal cavity(BPPSNC), and to improve its diagnosis and treatment level.
Method: A retrospective analysis was performed on 23 cases with BPPSNC by the diagnosis and the therapy.
Result: Before operation, three cases were considered as malignant tumor, and five cases could not be diagnosed definitely. Cald well-Luc operation was performed on 20 cases, only one case was performed by lateral rhinotomy and two cases were performed by nasal approach. Following up for 0. 8 to 10 years, all cases were cured.
Conclusion: The primary definite diagnosis is difficult before operation. Puncture and irrigation of the maxillary sinus is very valuable for the diagnosis of BPPSNC. It is important for CT scanning to diagnose and design the operative method of BPPSNC. It is a good surgical approach that Cald well-Luc operation is performed for BPPSNC.

Background/aims: Delayed postpolypectomy bleeding occurs in approximately 1% to 2% of all patients undergoing colonoscopic polypectomy, and this rate increases to 6% in patients with large (>2 cm) colon polyps. Sucralfate can protect the mucosa and promote its healing. This study was conducted to investigate whether colonoscopic spraying of sucralfate powder on polypectomy wounds can prevent delayed postoperative bleeding.

With the advent of the deep learning-based colonoscopy system, the need for a vast amount of high-quality colonoscopy image datasets for training is crucial. However, the generalization ability of deep learning models is challenged by the limited availability of colonoscopy images due to regulatory restrictions and privacy concerns. In this paper, we propose a method for rendering high-fidelity 3D colon models and synthesizing diversified colonoscopy images with abnormalities such as polyps, bleeding, and ulcers, which can be used to train deep learning models.

This study aims to identify the factors influencing decannulation in patients with stroke who underwent tracheostomy during the early subacute phase. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 219 patients with stroke who underwent a tracheostomy at a tertiary hospital between January 2020 and December 2023. Among them, there were 155 males and 64 females.

An increasing number of autosomal recessive forms of adenomatous polyposis have been described, but some in very few cases. Here, we describe a rare case of biallelic germline pathogenic variants in the MLH3 gene, implicating it as a potential cause of early colorectal cancer. The patient, a 47-year-old woman, presented with rectal bleeding, leading to the discovery of a malignant rectal tumor and adenomas during colonoscopy.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of additional vidian neurectomy or posterior nasal neurectomy in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and allergic rhinitis (AR), compared to the outcomes of conventional endoscopic sinus surgery alone.
Methods: Up to May 2024, six databases were systematically searched. We evaluated studies that compared the clinical improvement of chronic sinusitis-related symptoms and endoscopic findings between the neurectomy group (endoscopic sinus surgery plus vidian neurectomy or posterior nasal neurectomy) and the control group (endoscopic sinus surgery only).
