The following study compares the distribution of surnames in the populations of Western Slovenian municipalities, which were part of the Italian state until the end of the Second World War. The analyses have been carried out firstly by assessing the similarity of different populations to one another so as to verify possible aggregations; secondly, by figuring these relationships of similarity in a representation through unrooted tree (NJ); finally, by applying spatial autocorrelation to the distribution of surnames in the territory so as to highlight possible processes in the diffusion of people in the area under examination. On the whole, it seems likely that the population living in the area is geographically quite stable, although some differences may be noted depending both on the geography of the territory, particularly in the northern part, and on peculiar historical and socioeconomic conditions, which at the same time have characterized and modified the demographic structure of some of these municipalities.

One solution is to generate synthetic identifiers, which do not pose equivalent privacy concerns, but can form a 'gold-standard' linkage algorithm training dataset. To provide a reference for the realization of children's equal inheritance, this study examined the influence of child structure and means of eldercare on equitable family property distribution willingness. Using data from surveys of Chinese women's social status, this study analyzes the impacts of child structure and means of eldercare on family property distribution, with the children's surname choice and women's status as moderating factors. The results indicate that a child structure in which the family consists of more girls than boys, a higher number of children, and the choice of family support for eldercare significantly inhibit the equal distribution of family assets.

Objectives: To analyze demographic trends in laryngology fellowship training in the United States from 1993 to 2022, comparing periods before and after formalization of the fellowship within the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) in 2012.
Methods: A national database of fellowship-trained laryngologists (FTLs) and non-fellowship-trained laryngologists (nFTLs) practicing primarily laryngology was created by methodically compiling laryngologists via Internet search, with corroboration by regional laryngologists and vetting by senior laryngologists on this manuscript. Demographic variables included residency and/or fellowship graduation year, gender, race and ethnicity inferred through individuals' photos and surnames.
