We put forward an image rendering system based on pipeline framework for processing and displaying medical images. Compared to original computer graphics algorithms divided into volume rendering and surface rendering, this framework can effectively comprehend methods of computer graphics and image processing, import some new concepts such as vertex buffer, pixel buffer and texture buffer. We implement Shaded Surface Display, Maximum Intensity Projection, Digitally Reconstructed Radiography, Multi planar Reformation, Curved Planar Reformation and Interactive Virtual Endoscopy in our new developed PACS image system.

Photoacoustic imaging (PAI) is an emerging hybrid imaging technology that combines the advantages of optical and ultrasound imaging. Despite its excellent imaging capabilities, PAI still faces numerous challenges in clinical applications, particularly sparse spatial sampling and limited view detection. These limitations often result in severe streak artifacts and blurring when using standard methods to reconstruct images from incomplete data.

Background: Osteoporosis, a skeletal disorder affecting nearly 20% of the global population, poses a significant health concern, with osteoporotic vertebral body fractures (VBF) representing a common clinical manifestation. The impact of osteoporotic sintering fractures in the thoracolumbar spine on the sagittal lumbar profile is incompletely understood and may lead to the onset of clinical symptoms in previously asymptomatic patients.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study analyzed data from patients presenting with osteoporotic spine fractures between 2017 and 2022.
Purpose: As the pancreas is a low contrast visibility organ, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma detection is challenging due to subtle attenuation differences between tumor and pancreatic parenchyma. Photon counting CT (PCCT) has superior iodine contrast-to-noise ratio than conventional CT and also affords the creation of low keV virtual monoenergetic images, both of which increase adenocarcinoma conspicuity. The purpose therefore was to identify the optimal virtual monoenergy for visualizing PDAC during the pancreatic parenchymal phase of enhancement at PCCT using both quantitative and qualitative analyses.

: Recent advances in intraoperative navigation systems have improved the accuracy of pedicle screw placement in spine surgery. However, many hospitals have limited access to these advanced technologies due to resource constraints. In such settings, postoperative computed tomography (CT) evaluation remains crucial for assessing screw placement and related potential complications.

Objectives: To clarify the prenatal magnetic resonance (MR) imaging characteristics of fetal intracranial haemorrhages (ICHs) in a large cohort and correlate them with birth outcomes.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed MR images of fetuses with ICH on screening ultrasound (US) on picture archiving communication system (PACS) servers within a nearly ten-year period from two medical tertiary centres. The indications, main abnormal findings and coexistent anomalies were recorded by two experienced radiologists with census readings.
