Background: Delirium is a severe neuropsychiatric disorder associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Numerous precipitating factors and etiologies merge into the pathophysiology of this condition which can be marked by agitation and psychosis. Judicious use of antipsychotic medications such as intravenous haloperidol reduces these symptoms and distress in critically ill individuals.

In Hawai'i, the brassy chub, Kyphosus vaigiensis, has drawn interest as a candidate species for production. The increasing use of lithium (Li) in modern technology and medicine has raised up concerns in the scientific community due to the potential impact of this metal on the aquatic environment. Although several effects have been reported in different organisms, there is still scarce information concerning the mechanisms and chronic effects of Li toxicity in marine life. Our main objective is to determine biological effects of sub-lethal concentrations in Mytilus galloprovincialis at different biological organization levels using the biomarker approach.

Changes in postural control associated with clinical practice or specific conditions such as the presence of neck pain remain unexplored in dental students. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the time-course changes in postural control complexity among dental students enrolled in clinical practice, comparing those with and without neck pain. We used an online Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire for group allocation and center of pressure (CoP) oscillations with a tri-axial Bertec force plate.
