MicroRNA (miRNA) modulation has emerged as a promising strategy in cancer immunotherapy, particularly in converting "cold" tumors with limited immune cell infiltration into "hot" tumors responsive to immunotherapy. miRNAs regulate immune cell recruitment and activation within the tumor microenvironment, influencing tumor behavior targeting specific miRNAs in cold tumors aims to enhance the immune response, potentially improving therapeutic efficacy. Despite ongoing research challenges, such as tumor complexity and treatment resistance, miRNA-based therapies offer personalized approaches with potential ethical considerations.

Early-onset colorectal cancer (CRC) has been on the rise since the start of the twenty-first century. While the etiology behind this increase remains unclear, the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has decreased the recommended age to begin screening for CRC to 45 years. This case report reviews the literature on CRC in the young population while presenting a case of a 21-year-old male with early-onset metastatic colorectal cancer without a hereditary etiology.

Introduction: Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) have attracted significant interest as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis. In this study, we judiciously constructed a recombinant MUC1-dependent adenovirus (rAdF35-MUC1) that can selectively replicate and overexpress copepod super green fluorescent proteins (copGFP) in MUC1-positive tumor cells to investigate its role in the detection of CTCs.
Methods: We conducted a comparative study between rAdF35-MUC1 and the existing hTERT-dependent adenovirus (rAdF35-hTERT).

Purpose Of Review: The purpose of this review is to discuss the clinical, radiological, and neuropathological heterogeneity of corticobasal syndrome (CBS), which can complicate the determination of underlying etiology and lead to inaccurate treatment decisions. Though the most common diagnosis is corticobasal degeneration (CBD), the spectrum of underlying pathologies expands beyond CBD and can overlap with other neurodegenerative diseases and even the neuroimmunology field. We will review possible clinical presentations and cues that can point towards the etiology.

Cartilage repair remains a significant challenge due to the tissue's limited innate regenerative capacity. Despite advances in techniques such as microfracture, autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI), and osteochondral grafting, long-term outcomes are often compromised by complications, including suboptimal tissue integration, graft resorption, and mechanical instability. Recently, biologically augmented scaffold-based cartilage repair has emerged as a promising approach for full-thickness osteochondral lesions.
