Stump appendicitis is a known post-appendectomy entity causing right lower quadrant abdominal pain. Usually, a patient with a prior history of appendectomy presents to the emergency room with right lower quadrant abdominal pain and stump appendicitis, which is visualized on computed tomography of the abdomen pelvis. We report a case of stump appendicitis diagnosed by colonoscopy and subsequently confirmed by surgery.

High-energy blunt thoracic trauma is a highly morbid condition. When a pneumonectomy is required in such a setting, the mortality rate increases significantly. Here, we present a case of a motor vehicular crash (MVC) in which the patient suffered bilateral bronchial injuries requiring emergent thoracotomy, pneumonectomy, bronchial stenting, and initiation of venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VV ECMO).

Dupilumab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) signaling and is used in the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in those six months or older who are uncontrolled on or cannot tolerate topical treatments. Ocular surface disease is a recognized adverse effect of dupilumab, yet few studies describe the risk factors for developing ocular adverse effects. There are no standardized recommendations for monitoring patients on this medication.
