Objectives: To review the role of cerebellum on the lower urinary tract dynamics.

Methods: Anatomic-functional methodology including structural, functional and neurotransmitters study.

Results: We describe the complex connections of the cerebellum and its influence on the lower urinary tract function.

Conclusions: It is surprising the functional relationship between cerebellum and lower urinary tract, playing a inhibitory modulating role during the filling phase and facilitating the voiding phase.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), characterized as a chronic disease with unregulated enlargement of prostatic gland, is commonly observed in elderly men leading to lower urinary tract dysfunction. Sestrin2 plays a role in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis and protects organisms from various stimuli. The exact role of Sestrin2 in the etiology of BPH, a common age-related disease, remains unknown.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of adding epidural dexmedetomidine to low-concentration patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) on pain control and side effects in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Methods: In this double-blind study, American Society of Anesthesiologists I to II patients undergoing TKA were assigned to receive 0.125% bupivacaine + fentanyl 4 µg/mL (group R) or 0.

: This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of prostatic artery embolization (PAE) in elderly, multimorbid patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Additionally, it seeks to identify technical and clinical factors that predict clinical failure at the mid-term follow-up. : We analyzed the clinical records of 175 consecutive patients who underwent PAE.

forms a gel-like biofilm in the Foley's catheter (FC) causing tenacious biofouling and severe urinary tract infections (UTIs). For the first time, a spice extract-based antifungal lock therapy (ALT) has been developed to inhibit the gel matrix in FC. Aqueous extracts of garlic, clove, and Indian gooseberry were used as ALT lock solutions and tested against biofilm-forming multidrug-resistant clinical isolates of .

(1) Background: Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) can deliver more accurate dose distribution and reduce radiotherapy-induced toxicities for postoperative cervical and endometrial cancer. This study aims to retrospectively analyze the relationship between dosimetric parameters of organs at risk (OARs) and acute toxicities and provide suggestions for the dose constraints. (2) Methods: A total of 164 postoperative cervical and endometrial cancer patients were retrospectively analyzed, and the endpoints were grade ≥ 2 acute urinary toxicity (AUT) and acute lower gastrointestinal toxicity (ALGIT).
