B. J. Bushman, M. C. Wang, and C. A. Anderson argued that a reanalysis of E. G. Cohn and J. Rotton's Minneapolis data shows no inverted-U curvilinear relationship between temperature and aggression. Although B. J. Bushman et al.'s claim of no general inverted-U trend in the data might well be supported statistically, more careful examination of the subset of the data most likely to include the hottest temperatures in the study may offer at least some support for the inverted-U relationship. Aggregating data to describe a general trend minimizes the influence of outliers that may reflect alternative relationships, and such alternatives may be important practically and theoretically.

Objective: We comprehensively characterized a large pediatric cohort with focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) type 1 to expand the phenotypic spectrum and to identify predictors of postsurgical outcomes.
Methods: We included pediatric patients with histopathological diagnosis of isolated FCD type 1 and at least 1 year of postsurgical follow-up. We systematically reanalyzed clinical, electrophysiological, and radiological features.

This study aims to analyze the performances and correlation of the standardized precipitation index (SPI) and standardized precipitation evaporation index (SPEI) from the perspective of supplying effective indicators for drought risk management prevention. Indices have been evaluated using long time series of precipitation and temperature data (from 1961 to 2020) gauged and validated in the land monitoring system of the Umbria region (central Italy). Results show how SPEI can evaluate better the drought phenomena, both in terms of occurred events and in terms of trends.

High-throughput techniques that measure thousands of analytes at once have become ubiquitous features of biological research. The increasing expectation that the raw data generated by these techniques be deposited to public repositories creates rich opportunities for secondary analysis of these datasets. Such opportunities can take multiple forms.

Accurate precipitation data is an important state variable in various application fields such as geohazard early warning, flood, and drought hazard monitoring and evaluation. This study proposed a precipitation reforecast inversion model based on Random Forest and Wavelet Multi-Resolution Analysis (RF-WMRA) method. In the basin along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, we constructed the reforecast inversion model by using the fifth generation of atmospheric reanalysis of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ERA5) and Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation (GSMaP) precipitation data and considering several geo-environmental variables such as elevation, humidity, temperature, and wind speed.

Purpose: A primary challenge in clinical genetics is accurate interpretation of identified variants and relaying the information to patients and providers. Inconsistencies around handling variant reclassifications and notifying patients, combined with the lack of prescriptive guidelines on re-evaluation, reanalysis, and return of variants, has created practice challenges. Although relevant empirical work has emerged, the scope and outcomes of this research have not been characterized.
