Objective: We aimed to develop consensus for diagnosis/management of SCN8A-related disorders. Utilizing a modified Delphi process, a global cohort of experienced clinicians and caregivers provided input on diagnosis, phenotypes, treatment, and management of SCN8A-related disorders.

Methods: A Core Panel (13 clinicians, one researcher, six caregivers), divided into three subgroups (diagnosis/phenotypes, treatment, comorbidities/prognosis), performed a literature review and developed questions for the modified Delphi process.

March 2022

Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, P.O Box 84428, Riyadh 11671, Saudi Arabia.

Unlabelled: Some old antiseizure medications (ASMs) pose teratogenic risks, including major congenital malformations and neurodevelopmental delay. Therefore, the use of new ASMs in pregnancy is increasing, particularly lamotrigine and levetiracetam. This is likely due to evidence of low risk of anatomical teratogenicity for both lamotrigine and levetiracetam.

February 2022

Engineering Research Center of Bio-process, MOE, School of Food and Biological Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing Institute, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, 230009, China. Electronic address:

Continuous and interval monitoring of target drug concentration is of great importance for the effective and controllable therapy of diseases. In this research, the colloidal gold labeled lateral flow strip (LFS) is utilized for rapid and direct judgement of lamotrigine (LTG) concentration range, a specific medicine for epilepsy with the effective therapeutic concentration from 2.5 to 15 μg/mL in serum (corresponding to 25-150 ng/mL after 100-time dilution).
