Superior dislocation of the patella is a rare diagnosis, which usually occurs after a trivial trauma. It usually requires manipulation with analgesics or may even need anaesthesia. We report a case of spontaneous reduction of the dislocation, which lead us to believe that this may be more common in the community than has been reported.

Background: Multiple approaches exist for operative fixation of metacarpal fractures; with common treatments including lag screw fixation or open-reduction internal fixation (ORIF) with plates and screws. Recently, the adaptation of intramedullary screw (IMS) placement has allowed for an essentially closed approach with stable fixation and theoretically improved outcomes. Thus, we sought to compare such approaches to ultimately determine the superior method for achieving the goal of return to normal function.

Background: Spacer-type tibial osteotomy have been proven a novel and effective osteotomy to treat osteoarthritis, while lack of comparison with other surgical methods in younger patients. This study aims to evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of spacer-type tibial osteotomy versus open wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) for Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) grade 3-4 osteoarthritis (OA) in patients younger than 65 years.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed a total of 224 patients with K-L grade 3-4 knee OA treated from March 2018 to November 2020.
