Objective: To describe the presentation, outcomes, and management strategies for cases of subcapsular liver hematoma associated with preeclampsia, eclampsia, or HELLP (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count) syndrome.
Methods: This was a case series of individuals with subcapsular liver hematoma managed at a single level IV center over a 10-year period, from 2013 to 2024. Presenting signs and symptoms, laboratory findings, time of onset, management strategies, acute perinatal and maternal outcomes, and long-term outcomes such as subsequent pregnancies were reviewed in the medical record and recorded.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the relationship between occupational noise exposure and renal dysfunction in male workers.
Methods: A total of 160 male workers (the number of people who met the inclusion criteria) who underwent health examinations in Qingdao Municipal Hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were grouped into a noise group (80 cases) and a control group (80 cases) based on whether they engaged in noise work. We compared the differences in creatinine (CREA), cystatin C (CysC) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels between the two groups.

Background: Caustic substances can inflict severe damage on tissues upon contact. Knowledge about skin damage caused by sodium hypochlorite is quite limited, with only a few reports available in the literature.
Case Report: A 79-year-old female with severe cognitive decline presented with multiple skin ulcerations that were covered by a blackish-greyish eschar and surrounded by a purple erythematous halo.

Lipomas are benign soft tissue tumors composed of mature adipocytes, commonly found in subcutaneous tissues. Despite their prevalence in various body regions, they are relatively rare in the oral and maxillofacial regions. A segment of people with HIV on effective antiretroviral therapy (ART) continue to experience poor immune recovery, leaving them at heightened risk of non-AIDS-defining events (NAEs). The production of anti-CD4 IgG autoreactive antibodies is suggested as one contributing mechanism to these complications. Here, we found that plasma anti-CD4 levels do not discriminate immunological responders from nonresponders nor predict the occurrence of NAEs, suggesting it is unlikely a contributing immunopathological factor associated with these complications.
