Background: Meconium is thick black-green fetal intestinal content starting from the early first trimester of gestation. Unfortunately, if it is released into the amniotic cavity due to any cause, it can be associated with neonatal mortality and morbidity.
Objective: To identify the factors associated with meconium-stained amniotic fluid among mothers undergoing emergency cesarean section in specialized hospitals cross-sectional study in south central Ethiopia from August 1, 2022, to 30, October 2022.

Intrapartum fever is a common complication in parturients undergoing epidural analgesia (EA), significantly increasing the incidence of maternal and infant complications. This study aims to develop and validate a prediction model for intrapartum fever related to chorioamnionitis (IFTC) in parturients undergoing epidural analgesia. A total of 596 parturients with fever (axillary temperature ≥ 38℃) who received EA from January 2020 to December 2023 were included and randomly assigned to the training set (N = 417) and the validation set (N = 179) according to the ratio of 7:3.

Objective: To determine whether patients undergoing a trial of labor with a breech presentation following a failed attempt of external cephalic version (ECV) are at increased risk of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study was conducted at a single university-affiliated medical center. The study group comprised women with singleton pregnancies at term, categorized into three groups: those who underwent a failed external cephalic version (ECV) and subsequently attempted a trial of breech delivery (Breech-failed-ECV group), those who attempted an assisted vaginal breech delivery without a prior ECV attempt (Breech-no-ECV group), and those with vertex presentation following a successful ECV (Vertex-ECV).

Introduction: Preeclampsia and eclampsia are hypertensive disorders of pregnancy associated with significant maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a neurological complication observed in these conditions, yet its impact on fetomaternal outcomes remains underexplored. The aim of this study is to investigate the association between PRES and fetomaternal outcomes in women with preeclampsia and eclampsia.

Background and objectives Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) remains a critical concern in newborns, with therapeutic hypothermia (TH) serving as a key treatment strategy. However, assessing long-term outcomes requires a comprehensive approach, as children may develop neuropsychological and learning challenges even in the absence of noticeable motor impairments. This study aims to explore the correlation between electroencephalography (EEG) and neuroimaging findings with the clinical severity of HIE.
