The authors have designed an original brace which can be used in the treatment of severe and evolutive hyphosis, when kinesitherapy alone is not sufficient. The brace can be removed during the night and for the practice of sports. It is based on the increase of corrective reflexes. A review of 100 cases showed satisfactory results.

The destructive aftermath of storms and typhoons in the Philippines more prominently affects isolated remote locations that lack methodical and strategic procedures to address the situation. One form of assistance provided during disasters is the construction of shelters, which can be categorized as emergency, temporary, or transitional, serving as protection during recovery periods. Cold-formed steel (CFS) is widely used, and its versatility in fabrication and configurability make it an ideal candidate for building emergency shelters that are lightweight, easy to assemble, upgradeable, and cost-effective.

Introduction: Plantar flexors play a pivotal role in human locomotion and balance. Several original research studies and systematic reviews have characterised the impact of single-leg disuse on plantar flexor strength and size. However, no meta-analysis has quantified the effects of single-leg disuse on changes in plantar flexor strength and size in uninjured adults.

Background: Although hip bracing after hip arthroscopy is relatively common, it is not an evidence-based practice; no comparative studies or clinical trials exploring its effectiveness exist.
Purpose: We sought to summarize the rates of and indications for hip bracing after hip arthroscopy, surgeons' preferences on braces, and the types of braces used.
Methods: A systematic review was conducted using the PubMed, Embase, and Medline databases to identify studies that examined hip bracing following hip arthroscopy.

Whereas mammals are characterized by the presence of three middle ear ossicles, reptiles have only one, the columella (stapes). Nevertheless, there is a great diversity of columellar anatomy among sauropsids, especially in the unique and cartilaginous "extracolumella"-portion. Molecular studies revealed the "columella" of chicken and quails to be formed within the second pharyngeal arch, although conflicting evidence exists for the columellar footplate and distal parts of the columella in these birds.

Background: General practices are facing challenges such as rising patient demand and difficulties recruiting and retaining general practitioners. Greater use of digital technology has been advocated as a way of mitigating some of these challenges and improving patient access. This includes Digital First Primary Care, when a patient's first contact with primary care is through a digital route, either through a laptop or smartphone.
