Henoch-Schönlein Purpura (HSP) is the most frequent childhood primary immune vasculitis which affected skin, joints, gastro-intestinal tract and kidney. Renal involvement signs the future disease prognosis. The HSP don't have etiologic treatment but its immuno-histological aspects, leukocytoclastic vasculitis with immune complexes, imposed the including in the therapeutic equation, immunosuppressive and/or cytotoxic drugs, plasmapheresis, kidney transplant (severe renal deficiency resistant to medical treatment) and surgical treatment (in severe gastro-intestinal complications). Identifications of serum and/or urinary markers for the therapeutic answer contribute to appreciate long prognosis disease and precocious and individualized treatment.

Investigation and elimination of noncovalent artificial aggregates during non-reduced capillary electrophoresis-sodium dodecyl sulfate analysis of a multi-specific antibody.

J Pharm Biomed Anal

State Key Laboratory of Neurology and Oncology Drug Development, Nanjing, China; Simcere Zaiming Pharmaceutical Co, Ltd., Nanjing, China. Electronic address:

Capillary electrophoresis-sodium dodecyl sulfate (CE-SDS) is widely used in the biopharmaceutical industry for monitoring purity and analyzing impurities. The accuracy of the method may be compromised by artificial species resulting from sample preparation or electrophoresis separation due to suboptimal conditions. During non-reduced CE-SDS analysis of a multispecific antibody (msAb), named as multispecific antibody C (msAb-C), a cluster of unexpected peaks was observed after the main peak.

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation and migration [1]. It forms a homodimer or heterodimer with other ErbB receptor family members to activate downstream signaling. Emerging evidence indicates that the EGFR activity and downstream signaling are regulated by other proteins except its family members during tumorigenesis.

Preventive interventions are expected to substantially improve the prognosis of patients with primary liver cancer, predominantly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma. HCC prevention is challenging in the face of the evolving etiological landscape, particularly the sharp increase in obesity-associated metabolic disorders, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Next-generation anti-HCV and HBV drugs have substantially reduced, but not eliminated, the risk of HCC and have given way to new challenges in identifying at-risk patients.
