Objective: To study the integrin beta1 mRNA changes after orthodontic tooth movement in normal teeth and periodontitis teeth of rats.
Methods: The OD of positively stained osteoclasts for integrin beta1 mRNA using in situ hybridzation was detected after orthodontic tooth movement in normal teeth and periodontitis teeth groups.
Results: Integrin beta1 mRNA expression were detected on all osteoclasts in tooth movement samples of normal and periodontitis teeth. There were stronger positive signals after given orthodontic force in both of the two groups. But no differences were found after 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 days since orthodontic tooth movement. The integrin beta1 mRNA signals in normal tooth movement group were not different from that in periodontitis group.
Conclusion: The integrin beta1 of osteoclasts may play a role in the stability and remodeling of periodontal ligament in orthodontic tooth movement. There were no difference in the OD of integrin beta1 mRNA staining in orthodontic tooth movement between normal teeth group and periodontitis teeth group.

Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is often characterized by indolent behavior, small tumors with slow cell proliferation and a tendency to metastasize to cervical lymph node simultaneously, and the molecular mechanisms underlying that remain poorly understood. In this study, FN1 was the hottest gene of PTC and distinctive expression in PTC cells. FN1 deficiency severely inhibited the p53 signaling pathway, especially cyclin proteins, resulting in increased cell growth but hampered invasion.

We performed a systems vaccinology analysis to investigate immune responses in humans to an H5N1 influenza vaccine, with and without the AS03 adjuvant, to identify factors influencing antibody response magnitude and durability. Our findings revealed a platelet and adhesion-related blood transcriptional signature on day 7 that predicted the longevity of the antibody response, suggesting a potential role for platelets in modulating antibody response durability. As platelets originate from megakaryocytes, we explored the effect of thrombopoietin (TPO)-mediated megakaryocyte activation on antibody response longevity.

Objective: To analyze the genes related to platelet activation in essential thrombocythemia (ET) based on transcriptome sequencing technology (RNA-seq), and to explore the potential targets related to ET thrombosis.
Methods: Blood samples from ET patients and healthy individuals were collected for RNA-seq, and differentially expressed lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs were selected to construct a lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA regulatory network. Differential mRNAs in the regulatory network were enriched and analyzed using Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG).

During avian germ cell formation, primordial germ cells (PGCs) differentiate into prospermatogonia in testicular seminiferous tubules or into oogonia in the ovarian cortex in late-stage embryos. Although estrogenic endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) have been suggested to affect the differential fate of avian germ cells, there is currently no established method to examine the effects of EDCs on the differentiation potential of germline cells due to large amount of unidentified proteins present in avian germ cells. Regarding reliable molecular probes for the detection of germ cells that differentiated from the PGCs of Japanese quail, the prospermatogonium and oogonium, respectively, integrin beta1 (ITGB1), insulin-like growth factor 2-binding protein 1 (IGF2BP1), and stimulated by retinoic acid 8 (STRA8) were identified as marker proteins by RNA-seq and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry analyses.

Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) exert multiple tumor-promoting functions and are key contributors to drug resistance. The mechanisms by which specific subsets of CAFs facilitate oxaliplatin resistance in colorectal cancer (CRC) have not been fully explored. This study found that THBS2 is positively associated with CAF activation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and chemoresistance at the pan-cancer level.
