The long-term beneficial effects of placebo therapy were evaluated in angiogenesis and laser myocardial revascularization trials in patients who had end-stage coronary heart disease. Improvements in mean angina class, exercise treadmill time, and quality of life were mostly maintained at 30 +/- 6 months of follow-up. Persistence of effect cannot be used as evidence of efficacy, and double-blinded trials are essential in this patient population.

Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases named after Most Holy John Tobolsky, Moscow, Moscow, Russia.
Background: Most cerebrovascular lesions are aggravated by dementia. This study examines the possibility of reducing dementia by stimulating cerebral angiogenesis and neurogenesis using Transcatheter Intracerebral Laser Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), distal cerebral atherosclerosis, Binswanger's disease (BD), and vascular parkinsonism (VP).
Methods: The study included 404 patients with dementia, aged 29-81 (mean age 78).

Aim: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of combined laser and anti-VEGF therapy for (retinopathy of prematurity ROP), focusing on both structural and functional outcomes.
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in multiple databases to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that investigated combination therapy for ROP. The PRISMA guidelines were followed.

Senescent retinal pigment epithelial cells play a key role in neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD); however, the mechanisms underlying the angiogenic ability of these cells remain unclear. Herein, we investigated the effects of the senescent adult retinal pigment epithelial cell line-19 (ARPE-19) on wound healing, cell migration and survival, and tube formation abilities of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Additionally, we used Brown Norway rats to establish a laser-induced choroidal neovascularization (CNV) model for further nAMD-related studies.

Functional cell death pathways are essential for normal ocular vascular development and tissue homeostasis. As our understanding of necrosis-based cell death pathways has expanded, the inclusion of regulated forms, including necroptosis, ferroptosis, and oxytosis, has occurred. Although the existence of these pathways is well described, our understanding of their role during vascular development and pathological neovascularization is very limited.

Background: This case report describes a rare case of Coats disease in adult female patient with preserved vision after intravitreal Aflibercept injection and laser photocoagulation.
Case Presentation: A female patient of Asian Palestinian descent, aged 20, exhibited a progressive and painless deterioration in the vision of her left eye over a period of two weeks. She exhibited no additional ocular symptoms.
