Objective: After orthopaedic surgery, continuous nerve block analgesia provides effective postoperative pain relief. The practical use of these techniques may present problems. The purpose of this study was to assess the development of continuous block procedure for postoperative pain based on quality standard management and the effectiveness of initial training as an adjunct for introduction of these techniques.
Materials And Methods: A staff committee of anaesthesiologists established a specific practical working protocol. The medical and paramedical teaching sessions were immediately evaluated using a questionnaire.
Results: 214 consecutive patients were included. The incidence of side effects and complications were higher in the beginning of protocol. Constant improvement of these results was observed throughout the study. The rate patients with pain were 10%. The analysis of medical evaluation should permit to determine an acceptable level of quality. Most patients were satisfied with their management.
Conclusion: Pain management quality assurance program provided an improvement in efficacy of postoperative pain management in our protocol. Further, evaluation may be required to assess the complete benefits of this new protocol as regards postoperative pain.

Background: Acute pain management is critical in postoperative care, especially in vulnerable patient populations that may be unable to self-report pain levels effectively. Current methods of pain assessment often rely on subjective patient reports or behavioral pain observation tools, which can lead to inconsistencies in pain management. Multimodal pain assessment, integrating physiological and behavioral data, presents an opportunity to create more objective and accurate pain measurement systems.

Background: Pedicle screw insertion in posterior spinal surgery can cause vascular injuries, including rare intercostal artery pseudoaneurysms, which are typically discovered incidentally during reimaging. Onyx embolization is an effective treatment for small artery pseudoaneurysms.
Observations: A 36-year-old man who had initially presented with back pain that remained unresponsive to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs was diagnosed with a T7-8 sarcomatous lesion confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging and biopsy.
Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) has insidious clinical symptoms, and only a few patients suffer from lower limb swelling, tenderness and dorsal flexion pain. We aimed to explore the ultrasonographic features and risk factors of postoperative lower limb DVT in patients with lower limb fractures. Ninety patients with lower limb fractures admitted from January 1st, 2021 to June 30th, 2023 were selected.

This study aims to study the efficacy and safety of a Periarticular analgesic cocktail including ropivacaine injection and epidural ropivacaine for early rehabilitation after a total knee replacement.
Methods: Total of 100 patients divided into two groups, one group received epidural ropivacaine and second group given periarticular cocktail containing ropivacaine.

Background And Purpose: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) are widely performed surgeries for end-stage joint disease, yet the influence of depression and anxiety on postoperative outcomes remains unclear. This study aims to consolidate current evidence on the relationship between preoperative depression and/or anxiety disorders and postoperative outcomes in adult patients undergoing primary THA or TKA. Given the potential for these psychiatric conditions to affect recovery, pain management, and overall satisfaction, the results of this study are crucial to inform targeted perioperative interventions and improve patient-centered care.
