Invasive percutaneous diagnostic or therapeutic procedures are associated with the risk of thrombosis and occlusion of peripheral vessels which are used for vascular access. Data on the transcatheter therapy of vascular complications in children are scarce. We described five children in four of whom percutaneous transluminal balloon angioplasty of occluded peripheral vessels was successfully performed. Technical aspects of this treatment and indications are discussed.

Background: This case report describes a rare case of Coats disease in adult female patient with preserved vision after intravitreal Aflibercept injection and laser photocoagulation.
Case Presentation: A female patient of Asian Palestinian descent, aged 20, exhibited a progressive and painless deterioration in the vision of her left eye over a period of two weeks. She exhibited no additional ocular symptoms.

Age-related physiological changes affect various aspects of peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) cannulation. However, the characteristics of PIVCs, especially in older patients, have been poorly investigated. In the current cross-sectional observational study, PIVC sizes, PIVC sites, the number of attempts until successful insertion, and the degree of venodilation upon insertion among hospital inpatients aged ≥65 years were investigated, along with measurements of the vessel diameter and depth using ultrasound.

As a blood flow control technique for embolization using glue (n-butyl cyanoacrylate; NBCA) for peripheral artery aneurysm/pseudoaneurysm, we placed a vascular plug or coils at the proximal inflow vessel before glue injection. We describe this maneuver, which we call the glue in lockdown technique. Four peripheral aneurysms-two pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysms, one pancreaticoduodenal arcade pseudoaneurysm, and one internal iliac artery aneurysm-deemed unsuitable for conventional embolization because of abnormal blood flow, coagulopathy, or anatomical complexity were embolized with our technique.
