Objectives: Glomangiomas are benign vascular malformations that exist within the spectrum of glomuvenous malformations which consist of varying amounts of glomus cells, vascular spaces, and smooth muscle. Glomangiomas are often treated due to associated pain, particularly when located on pressure areas such as the back or extensor surfaces, which can cause difficulty with certain activities and occupational functions. Histologically glomangiomas consist of prominent dilated vascular spaces lined by glomus cells typically situated in the deep-dermis to subcutaneous fat which limits treatment to modalities capable of reaching the depth of the tumor including excision, sclerotherapy, and laser therapy.

Purpose: During breast cancer surgery, the use of dyes such as indigo carmine, methylene blue, or indocyanine green (ICG) for targeting axillary lymph nodes (ALNs) under ultrasound guidance can result in rapid diffusion, complicated tissue differentiation, and disruption of staining. LuminoMark™, a novel ICG-hyaluronic acid mixture, can provide real-time visualization and minimize dye spread, thereby ensuring a clear surgical field. The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of LuminoMark™ for targeting ALNs in patients with breast cancer.

The improper handling and uncontrolled discharge of toxic organic dyes result in significant adverse effects on both human health and the environment. This study investigates the fabrication of SnO₂, yttrium and cobalt dual-doped SnO₂ (YCSn), chitosan-capped SnO₂ (CS*Sn), and chitosan-capped yttrium and cobalt dual-doped SnO₂ (CS*YCSn) nanoparticles using a one-step coprecipitation method for the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. Characterization techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry confirm the successful synthesis of biodegradable CS*YCSn nanoparticles.

Rapamycin analogs are approved by the FDA for breast and renal cancer treatment. Hence, the possibility of nanoparticle-mediated delivery of Rapamycin could be examined. In the present study, PEGylated Gold-core shell iron oxide nanoparticles were used for the targeted delivery of Rapamycin, and R-Au-IONPs were formulated.

Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the main functional index of kidney health and disease. Currently, no methods are available to directly measure tubular mass and function. Here, we report a serendipitous finding that the in vitro cell viability dye resazurin can be used in mice as an exogenous sensor of tubular function.
