In this Letter, we (1) construct a one-parameter family of lattice models of interacting spins; (2) obtain their exact ground states; (3) derive a statistical-mechanical analogy which relates their ground states to O(n) loop gases; (4) show that the models are critical for d=sqrt[2], where d parametrizes the models; (5) note that, for the special values d=2cos([pi/(k+2)], they are related to doubled level-k SU(2) Chern-Simons theory; (6) conjecture that they are in the universality class of a nonrelativistic SU(2) gauge theory; and (7) show that its one-loop beta function vanishes for all values of the coupling constant, implying that it is also on a critical line.

The framework of the methodology presented in this study is an effort to integrate and optimize the agro-industry sector, especially energy in biogas. In this study, the technique of the system in functional analysis is shown systematically to translate various energy requirements in the factory as criteria for performance and functional design to be integrated, optimized, and energy efficient. The case study results indicated that biogas power plants, with a capacity of 1.

Enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs) often fail to meet phosphorus discharge permit limits, indicating a need to improve EBPR to reduce environmental phosphorus discharges. EBPR designs are largely based on the Accumulibacter polyphosphate accumulating organism (PAO) metabolism, while understudied Tetrasphaera PAOs are equally important to EBPR in many facilities worldwide. Anaerobic organic carbon competition is believed to be a key driver of EBPR reliability.

Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-coated microsized artificial oxygen carriers (AOCs) with a perfluorooctyl bromide (PFOB) core and poly(lactide--caprolactone) (PLC) shell were successfully fabricated using Shirasu porous glass (SPG) membrane emulsification. The PEG coating was achieved by adding the polylactide--polyethylene glycol--polylactide (PLA-PEG-PLA) block copolymer to the disperse phase during the SPG membrane emulsification process. During the DCM evaporation process, the three-layer structure of the PEG layer, PLC shell, and PFOB core of the AOCs spontaneously formed by phase separation.

Hyperpolarization of small peptides by parahydrogen-induced polarization (PHIP) to increase the sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques is well established, while its application to larger biopolymers is still a mainly unexplored area. A particular challenge is the presence of folding-essential disulfide bridges. They tend to form metal complexes, thus hampering catalytic hydrogenation, a prerequisite for PHIP.

Quiescent cells require a continuous supply of proteins to maintain protein homeostasis. In fission yeast, entry into quiescence is triggered by nitrogen stress, leading to the inactivation of TORC1 and the activation of TORC2. In this study, we demonstrate that the Greatwall-Endosulfine-PPA/B55 pathway connects the downregulation of TORC1 with the upregulation of TORC2, resulting in the activation of Elongator-dependent tRNA modifications crucial for sustaining the translation programme during entry into quiescence.
