Introduction: Advanced penile squamous cell carcinoma (pSCC) is a rare and aggressive malignancy with a poor prognosis and an unmet need for biomarkers. We performed a retrospective evaluation of real-world efficacy, safety outcomes, and baseline inflammatory biomarkers in patients with advanced pSCC treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).
Methods: We performed a retrospective review of patients with advanced pSCC who received ICIs from 2012 to 2023 at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Cutaneous immune-related adverse events (cirAEs) may be associated with tumoral response and survival in patients using immune checkpoint inhibitors, but this relationship remains unclear because previous reports on the topic have various limitations. The purpose of this study was to examine the association of cirAEs with overall survival and progression-free survival in patients starting immune checkpoint inhibitors. A prospective observational study was conducted in a Spanish tertiary care hospital, including participants between March 2020 and May 2022.

Background: Accurate data on the prognosis of bone metastases are necessary for appropriate treatment. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are widely used in the treatment of gene mutation-negative non-small cell lung cancer (GMN-NSCLC).
Aim: To investigate the prognostic factors in patients with bone metastases from GMN-NSCLC following ICI use.

Background: Immune-related adverse events (irAEs) are reported to be associated with better overall survival (OS) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors. However, there may be a bias in that patients who develop irAEs must survive long enough to experience the irAEs, and no prospective studies adjusting for immortal time bias (ITB) have examined the relationship between OS and pituitary dysfunction or the two different types of thyroid dysfunction: destructive thyroiditis and hypothyroidism without prior thyrotoxicosis (isolated hypothyroidism).
Methods: Patients with NSCLC who received nivolumab or pembrolizumab at Nagoya University Hospital between November 2, 2015 and February 1, 2023 were enrolled.

Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), a key enzyme in the cyclooxygenase family, is pivotal in producing pro-inflammatory prostaglandins, driving chronic inflammation and related disorders. Targeting COX-2 with selective inhibitors can mitigate these conditions while avoiding the gastrointestinal and hepatotoxic/nephrotoxic side effects of traditional NSAIDs. However, the selectivity towards COX-2 inhibition has been associated with cardiovascular risks, necessitating the discovery of novel molecular scaffolds avoiding CVS side effects.
