To reduce the adverse effects of bran on whole wheat flour products. In this study, seven reconstituted whole wheat flours were prepared and used to determine the effects of microwave and steam treatment on bran. We aimed to understand the effect of modification treatment on the properties of reconstituted whole wheat flour and dough.

Classically, the refractive index of a medium is due to a response on said medium from an electromagnetic field. It has been shown that a single two-level atom interacting with a single photon undergoes dispersion. The following extends that analyses to a three-level system interacting with two photons.

Neuromodulation stands as a cutting-edge approach in the fields of neuroscience and therapeutic intervention typically involving the regulation of neural activity through physical and chemical stimuli. The purpose of this review is to provide an overview and evaluation of different neuromodulation techniques, anticipating a clearer understanding of the future developmental trajectories and the challenges faced within the domain of neuromodulation that can be achieved. This review categorizes neuromodulation techniques into genetic neuromodulation methods (including optogenetics, chemogenetics, sonogenetics, and magnetogenetics) and non-genetic neuromodulation methods (including deep brain stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial ultrasound stimulation, photobiomodulation therapy, infrared neuromodulation, electromagnetic stimulation, sensory stimulation therapy, and multi-physical-factor stimulation techniques).

Broad beans, a seasonal leguminous vegetable renowned for their distinctive flavor and high-quality plant protein, present unique opportunities for culinary and nutritional applications. To better understand the impact of various blanching processes on their characteristics, we employed headspace gas chromatography-ion mobility mass spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS) and biochemical tests to evaluate changes in color, volatile compound content, and levels of antioxidant-related substances following different blanching treatments. Our findings revealed that microwave blanching significantly influenced the a* metric and antioxidant capacity of broad beans.

Biomagnetic fluid dynamics (BFD) is an emerging and promising field within fluid mechanics, focusing on the dynamics of bio-fluids like blood in the presence of magnetic fields. This research is crucial in the medical arena for applications such as medication delivery, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prevention of excessive bleeding, and treatment of malignant tumors using magnetic particles. This study delves into the intricacies of blood flow induced by cilia, carrying trihybrid nanoparticles (gold, copper, and titania), within a catheterized arterial annulus under a robust magnetic field.
